Prop Tayack returns after horror year

JAY Tayack, grateful to be back fit and healthy, was unveiled to supporters as Cornish Pirates' latest signing at their Meet The Players evening on Thursday.
The deal was only concluded an hour before fans arrived at the Mennaye after Tyack had trained with Pirates for a month and played 40 minutes "as a guest" in last weekend's pre-season win against Redruth.
"It's great to be back.
I love Pirates so I'm just looking forward to enjoying my rugby again," said the tighthead who played 79 minutes of the most famous win in the club's recent history the 25-17 victory over Saracens in March 2021 when Pirates' front row destroyed their illustrious counterparts.
He was snapped up by Worcester a couple of weeks later but it all ended badly when Warriors went bust.
"It was a shame as I felt we were starting to get a bit of something going as a team," Tayack said.
