Newcastle can't live with Bath late show

GREAT rugby teams know how to win even when they aren't firing on all cylinders, and league leaders Bath highlighted their quality with a late comeback to keep their hopes of a domestic double alive on Friday night.
By the time Irish flyhalf Ciaran Donoghue booted over a penalty kick in the 78th minute, Bath had scored three tries and 22 unanswered points in the final 23 minutes to romp to a victory over Newcastle Falcons that looked on a knife-edge for the first hour.
Openside Ethan Staddon and Team GB 7s fullback Austin Emens both scored two tries apiece in stand-out performances at a lively Kingston Park to help book the West Country side's place in the Premiership Cup final.
Bath assistant coach Andy Robinson said: "It's a really good feeling to get this group to the Premiership Cup final.
"The players really stuck at it all the way through, they are a quality group and they've got some resilience and that's what showed in the last 20 or so minutes.
