EALING Trailfinders captain Rob Farrar believes his side have what it takes to compete with the very best in English rugby having proved their worth yet again in this season’s Premiership Rugby Cup.
For a second successive season, the Championship outfit made it through to the semi-finals of the competition only to come up narrowly short against Exeter, having done similar against Leicester 12 months’ ago.
Ben Ward’s side have proven again this season they are the class act when it comes to those competing in the Championship, but it remains unclear whether they will be given a chance to try their luck in the Premiership any time soon.
Much the same as last season, the Londoners will likely win the Championship crown but would miss out on facing the Premiership’s bottom side in a relegation play-off should they fail to meet the strict minimum standards criteria.
For the likes of Farrar and his team-mates, the chance to tackle the elite of the English game remains paramount.
