MAJBOROUGH and FOUND A FIFTY clocked the best times of the month - 162 - when they clashed at Cork on December 7.

It was a fine effort by the pair but Majborough made a few jumping errors that make me think the Champion Chase would find him out in March. I think the Ryanair would be a much more suitable target for him where he could take off a few mph and give himself a chance of crossing his fences better.

As for Found A Fifty he showed that he's wintered well and will have another crack at all the top two-mile contests. Cheltenham doesn't seem to be his favourite place but he certainly likes Aintree and could land a Grade 1 before the season is out. Again, he doesn't get my juices flowing for the Champion in which he was fifth last season.
