Replacing the day and the date in its Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 with inspiring notions to ponder, Rolex did an unprecedented creative turn. So instead of the day of the week, one of seven inspirational key words – ‘Happy’, ‘Eternity’, ‘Gratitude’, ‘Peace’, ‘Faith’, ‘Love’, and ‘Hope’ – shows up in the arc-shaped day window at 12 o’clock. And in place of the date, one of 31 exclusive emojis is revealed in the date aperture at 3 o’clock.
