The Italian marque's new gravel bike has been specced - almost exclusively - for speed
-
Pinarello applies its halo brand, Dogma, to a new gravel bike, the Dogma GR. The bike is designed for competition, and follows a manufacturer trend toward aero-optimised frames. Unusually, Pinarello also launched the Grevil F on the same day, a more versatile, practical and attainable platform to meet the needs of adventurers.
Gravel race is a thing
With the launch of the Dogma GR, Pinarello follows brands like Cervélo and Orbea into an emerging gravel-race category, where more responsive geometry and aero-optimised frame designs meet conservative tyre clearances designed for UCI gravel races.
The Dogma GR borrows heavily from the road-going Dogma with its familiar aero tube shapes and tight angles. The bike is optimised for pro-level, UCI-sanctioned gravel events where bunch starts and fast sprints need specialist bikes. British gravel champion and current Ineos star rider, Connor Swift, was instrumental in its development, Pinarello says.
Still light, but tough too, and aero
