Feather's featherweight

If you want to beat Tadej Pogačar up a hill, you could start in Switzerland...
-
The hill-climb season continues, and while it uncovers some weird and wonderful creations, Andrew Feather's bike is all wonderful. If the name Feather sounds familiar, it might be because he recently beat Tadej Pogačar in a charity event held in his honour, where out of the 1,186 participants, no one was supposed to beat the Slovenian world champion, let alone a lawyer from Bath.
Feather's bike is built around a SWI Aequus frameset, and it's his 'heavier' training bike. The ultra-exotic Swiss-made frameset is produced in two halves using a clamshell mould, which SWI describes as the only truly monocoque construction method, featuring a tunable 15-layer carbon ply, typically used in aerospace or MotoGP. The frames are crafted with a custom layup tailored to the rider's weight and power, offering a completely bespoke ride feel.
