The 15-member Indian cricket team for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was announced on January 18. Rohit Sharma is set to lead the Men in Blue with Shubman Gill assigned as his deputy.

India are placed in Group A alongside New Zealand, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The Indian side will play its matches in Dubai. The last time this tournament was held, India were beaten in the final by Pakistan in 2017.

Coming to the side, Team India's batting pretty much sums up all the regulars in place. However, India have opted for a pace attack which is devoid of clarity in fitness. Team India isn't sure whether Jasprit Bumrah will make the cut. On the other hand, Mohammed Shami is still not 100% fit. The England series will tell a lot about Shami's fitness but worry remains about Bumrah.

India have selected at least four all-rounders in the side. Three of them are spin all-rounders in the form of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar. There is Hardik Pandya who will fill in as the pace all-rounder. India has a decent side on offer and it remains to be seen how they tick the right boxes and get the desired balance to work it through in Dubai.
