December 2025

Test the power of your mind with this colour-changing brain game.

The coding club is your place to learn and develop coding skills. We've created these pages with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to provide loads of projects, from building games to designing animations.

Build a memory game

Test the power of your mind with this colour-changing brain game.

Create a colour sequence

Open a new starter project at rpf.io/scratch-new and delete the cat sprite that is already there.

Choose a character sprite and a backdrop (bottom right). We chose the Ballerina sprite and Spotlight backdrop. Move the Ballerina to the centre of the stage.

Click on the Costumes tab (top left) of your Ballerina sprite and change the colour of her dress on each costume. Click on each dress then change the “fill” colour. The first one should be red, the second blue, the third green and the fourth yellow.

Next, you will need to make a new list. At the bottom of your blocks list, (left, under the Code tab) click on “make a list” under Variables. Create a list called Sequence and select “for this sprite only”.
