"Undisputed catches the rise of the sport in a timely and accomplished fashion," said games™ in an 8/10 review, praising the "remarkably technical" game for being "a far deeper fighting experience than anyone thought possible". Official Xbox 360 Magazine gave it 7/10, calling it "easily the best" MMA sim, but saying "the career mode could have been more imaginative than just a ranking ladder".
