Perhaps it’s peculiar that the SaGa franchise has been dormant in recent years, especially considering its freeform, non-linear gameplay, something more common to Western RPGs than Japanese ones. But after taking the time to remaster the old library so newcomers can familiarise themselves with the series, Square Enix is finally bringing a brand-new entry to PlayStation.
