Over the past 30 years, The Spy has lived following the mantra that, yes, it's better down where it's wetter. This explains why The Spy is a fan of hot tubs, ramen and any videogame where there are large bodies of water to look at and dive into. The Spy is talking about the Outcast, Horizon Forbidden West, Sea of Thieves and Subnautica experiences of the videogame world.

So it was incredibly disappointing to discover on a recent diving trip that the much-wanted Subnautica 2 had fallen into a whirlpool of delay and, potentially, doom. While scubering past Unknown Worlds Entertainment's development studio in the San Francisco Bay, The Spy saw Krafton executives delivering marching orders to studio founders, Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire, as well as the studio's CEO, Ted Gill.
