In a groundbreaking move towards enhancing its technological prowess, the Indian Army on December 18, 2024, launched the Indian Army AI Incubation Centre (IAAIIC) in Bengaluru.

The virtual inauguration, led by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi, marks a pivotal moment in the Army's ongoing transformation as it embraces Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionise its operational capabilities.

The IAAIIC is part of the Indian Army's broader strategy to modernise and stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of military technology.

By fostering the development of Al-driven solutions, the centre aims to bolster decision-making, improve efficiency, and prepare the Army for the complexities of future warfare.

This development comes in the background of ongoing wars between Russia and Ukraine and the turbulences in West Asia.

For the last few years, the Indian Army has been coming up with new technologies and emphasising on the production of technologies which, according to experts, is likely to dominate the warfare playground in the coming times.
