Republic Day Parade holds a distinct and unique place in the people's hearts.

76th Republic Day Celebration

It is the day when the country rolls out with pride the rich cultural diversity of the country and the silent potent military might of India, which became a Republic on January 26, 1950.

imageThe winter sun generated the warmth befitting the occasion this year as the parade passed through during the 90-minute spectacle, cheered by thousands of enthusiastic citizens who dotted either side of the Kartavyapath amid the presence of Chief Guest, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Prabowo Subianto. This year's special feature was the participation of a 160-member marching contingent and a 190-member band contingent from Indonesia.

The Parade, this year put the spotlight on the 75 years of enactment of the Constitution and Jan Bhagidari (People's Participation). To honour their contributions to nation and society building, Special guests from different walks of life were special guests to witness the event. These guests are achievers and best performers in their respective areas and are the architects of Swarnim Bharat. (Golden India).

imageThe dignitaries and the spectators witnessed, 31 tableaux from various States, Union Territories, and Central Government Ministries/Departments will participate, showcasing the theme "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas."

75TH YEAR OF CONSTITUTION

Seventy-five years of enactment of the Constitution of India was the focus of the Republic Day Celebration with two tableaux with floral decoration and view cutters showcasing the completion of 75th years of the Constitution.
