It's the time of year when the trees are shedding leaves, there's a chill in the air and great big hairy spiders appear, grinning malevolently from the corner of your bathroom. Well, before you run off to capture and safely release them (or roll up a magazine, like I do), consider them a harbinger of your gothic project to come. That's what we're doing in the creative project slot this month, putting together a tableau fit for Halloween.

You can go gothic, camp, religious or occult; it’s up to you. What you need is lots of props, but think about which one will be the main item, with everything else in a supporting role. Otherwise, the viewer's eye will just roam around looking for something to settle on. The obvious candidate here is a skull, whether that's animal or human – we won't ask any questions about where you got it from!
