March 2025

Nu Republic has done something right with their latest product - The Starboy 6, which is their bluetooth over-ear headphones. Because right off the bat, spoiler alert, this is their best product we've reviewed so far, and is the most recommendable. Priced at *2499, we think this time Nu Republic has a winner in their hands. Let's break it down.

Nu Republic Starboy 6

What’s in the box?

The headphones themselves, wrapped in plastic packaging

3.5mm aux cable & USB C cable (for charging)

User Manual

The packaging is minimal, but there’s more plastic this time around as compared to other products we’ve reviewed from them. What’s surprising is that the box didn’t include any headphone bag or cover.

Look, Body and Feel

The headphones are made out of ABS plastic, but they don't feel cheap, as they don't creak when bent using minimal force - a very good start for the product. Another benefit of being made out of plastic is that they weigh only 240g, making it okay to wear them for an extended period of time.

The earpads are made out of soft leather-like material which is comfortable enough, but a couple of millimetres more would have made the wearing experience even better.

The head band sits comfortably on top of your head, featuring a metal insert which helps you adjust the headphones according to your needs, but they lack the pressure required to seal the drivers around your ears. Speaking of which, the drivers are 40mm in size and they will require some getting used to for it to feel comfortable on your ears.

The headphones have tilting points so they can bend, so they can sit on your neck bracing your shoulders comfortably when not in use, but also can be stored neatly in a bag, taking a smaller footprint. The left earcup has a mic tucked into it and the right one is designed similarly.

The Rise of Street Couture Photography

Street couture photography has taken over fashion culture in a way few trends have before. It blends high fashion with real world grit, turning sidewalks into runways and everyday people into style subjects. This shift did not happen overnight. It grew from a mix of social media influence, shifting brand priorities, and a global appetite for authenticity. What used to be a niche style is now a major force shaping how fashion is captured, consumed, and imagined.
