It is not easy being in the business of photo-imaging today, especially if you are a company like Fujifilm, whois one of the oldest players inthis business. But while most believe that there are increased challenges ahead, Fujifilm sees vast opportunity, thanks to their innovative technologies and customer centric approach. Bhavya Desai speaks to Centhilnathan L, India Business Head, Photo Imaging Sr. Vice President, Fujifilm India about the photo imaging business in India and more. Excerpts:

As a Business Head, what are your near- and long-term objectives for the photo imaging segment?
At Fujifilm India, our commitment is to always stay at the forefront of innovation and be a solution provider. Customer therefore holds the topmost prominence for us where we are dedicated to listening to our clients’ feedback, refining our products, and delivering unmatched value. As I take the helm in the photo imaging segment, my near-term objectives are centred on optimising our current offerings and establishing strong customer connections.
From the long-term forefront, encompassing pioneering innovations that redefine the industry. We envision expanding our footprint globally, embracing cutting-edge technologies, and maintaining an unwavering commitment to sustainability. These objectives, underpinned by collaboration and innovation, will guide us towards a future where we lead the way in photo imaging excellence.
What are the trends in India in the Colour Paper Business as compared to the Global market?
The transition from black and white to colour has changed the perspective of how we view the world, the colour paper and photographs are connecting us, reminding us and making us relive the moment. Fujifilm India is actively observing dynamic trends that resonate with global developments while also reflecting distinctive local influences. Locally, the shift towards sustainable practices is particularly pronounced, driven by consumer demand for environment-friendly products. Digitization is also reshaping the industry, with an increased focus on personalised printing solutions for businesses of all sizes.
