AN ART FORM THAT CAPTURES OUR MEMORIES: WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

August 20222

"The camera is a tool that teaches people how to look without a camera," someone once stated. "Taking a picture, capturing a moment, exposes how rich reality actually is," another photographer stated. It all makes sense since photography is something you rapidly fall in love with, even if you just use it sometimes. There is also a day dedicated to celebrating and recognising the arts. World Photography Day is celebrated every year to honour the craft, art, science, and history of photography. The goal of the day is to encourage more photographers, both professionals and amateurs, to talk about a vocation that is a perfect marriage of art and technology.

AN ART FORM THAT CAPTURES OUR MEMORIES: WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

The camera is honoured in all of its forms. After all, the technology has become an integral part of our daily life. Of course, it is more significant and significant to experts. For many years, though, the camera's effect has crossed colour, caste, religion, and geography. That is why photography evolved into an art form worth celebrating.

History

Looking back in time, World Photography Day can be traced back to 1837, when Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce invented the Daguerreotype, a photographic technique. The French Academy of Sciences unveiled the Daguerreotype method just two years later. It was not, however, the first lasting photographic picture. The innovation was then announced as a free gift to the world by the French government on August 19. And that's how it all began. Niepce took the first known permanent image a few years before the discovery of the technique, which became known as 'View From The Window at Le Grass'. Many years later, Thomas Sutton took the first-ever long-lasting colour image in 1861. More than a century later, the world received its first digital camera.

The Rise of Street Couture Photography

Street couture photography has taken over fashion culture in a way few trends have before. It blends high fashion with real world grit, turning sidewalks into runways and everyday people into style subjects. This shift did not happen overnight. It grew from a mix of social media influence, shifting brand priorities, and a global appetite for authenticity. What used to be a niche style is now a major force shaping how fashion is captured, consumed, and imagined.
