Canon EOS R6 Mark III

Canon's enthusiast-focused all-rounder gains a new 32.5MP sensor.

Canon's new EOS R6 Mark III is a full-frame mirrorless camera that's designed for enthusiast photographers. It employs a near-identical body design to its predecessor from 2023, but gains a higher-resolution 32.5MP sensor (up from 24MP before). This new sensor first appeared in the EOS C50 cinema camera in September, but while the two models share many of their specs and features, they're very different in design.

Costing £2,799.99 body-only, £3,149.99 with the basic RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens, or £3,899.99 with the premium RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM, the EOS R6 III will be going head-to-head against some formidable competition. This includes the Nikon Z6III, Panasonic Lumix S1II, and the Sony A7. The EOS R6 Mark II will also remain on sale for the whole of 2026.

Let's look at the specs in more detail. The sensor offers a sensitivity range of ISO 100-64,000 as standard, plus extended settings of ISO 50-102,800. In comparison, the upper limits were ISO 102,400 and 204,800 before.
