PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. maintained the approval and trust of about a third of Filipinos while Vice President Sara Duterte sustained the approval and trust of majority of Filipinos, the first quarter Ulat ng Bayan survey of Pulse Asia from February 27 to March 2 showed.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±2.8 percent, showed the President's approval rating at 36 percent, almost unchanged from 34 percent in December or the last quarter of 2025, while his disapproval rating went down to 45 percent from 48 percent.
Marcos' trust rating was slightly up at 35 percent from 32 percent, while his distrust rating went down to 44 percent from 47 percent.
Year on year, the President's approval rating was up by 11 percentage points from 25 percent, while his disapproval rating was down by 8 percentage points from 53 percent.
His trust rating, year on year, was up from 10 percentage points from 25 percent and distrust rating was down, also by 10 percentage points, from 54 percent.
Marcos enjoyed a majority approval rating from Luzon at 54 percent and a plurality from the National Capital Region (NCR) at 42 percent, followed by the Visayas at 18 percent and Mindanao at 12 percent.
Majority from Mindanao and the Visayas disapproved of the President at 73 percent and 61 percent, respectively, followed by NCR at 42 percent and Luzon at 26 percent.
