Jan vehicle sales ease after Dec record – CAMPI-TMA -

VEHICLE sales dipped in January as the industry came off a record December performance, though automakers said the sector remains broadly on track to exceed its 500,000-unit target for full-year 2026.

Combined sales of members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (CAMPI-TMA) reached 35,053 units in the first month of the year, down 10 percent from the 38,947 units sold a year earlier.

The figure also represents a 26 percent drop from December's 47,371 units, reflecting the usual post-holiday cooldown after a year-end buying surge.
