Cebu Pacific solidifies position as largest PH airline in domestic market

GOKONGWEI-OWNED Cebu Pacific (CEB) continued to emerge as the country’s largest airline operator in the domestic market, while flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) maintained its lead in international passenger traffic for the full year of 2025, based on the latest data released by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
CAB data showed that Cebu Pacific and its subsidiary Cebgo recorded a combined domestic passenger traffic of 18.25 million last year, up 5.7 percent from 17.27 million in 2024. This growth allowed CEB to widen its lead, capturing 54.9 percent or more than half of the total 33.24 million domestic passengers recorded in 2025.
Flag carrier PAL and its subsidiary PAL Express also posted steady growth in the domestic sector. The group’s domestic passenger volume rose 5.26 percent to 9.73 million in 2025, from 9.25 million in the previous year.
