Undercliffe off the mark as Farnley keep marching on

Four weeks into the Bradford League Premier Division season, Undercliffe got off the mark by defeating Baildon by three wickets with five balls unused in their Premier Division clash.

Amir Shahzad (3-40) and Mohammed Suleman (5-50) helped restrict Baildon to 189, and Bailey Worcester (58no) then guided Cliffe to victory to add to keeper Kyle Welsh's 50, leaving winless Bradford & Bingley and Cleckheaton at the bottom.

The most notable victory was from newly-promoted Carlton, who handed Townville their first defeat. Jonny Booth (40) and Abdul Wahid (83) put on 100 for openers, but Farukh Alam’s 6-63 left them on 249-9.
