Tractor crash survivor helps raise £35,000 for charity that saved her

Lucie Maguire, 23, from Kirkby Malzeard, North Yorkshire, was hit by a tractor on a country lane four years ago.

She and her mum had pulled over after their car had broken down.

As Lucie, who was 19 at the time, got out of the car, she was struck by an oncoming tractor and dragged under its trailer.

Lucie's injuries from the accident were so severe that they were compared by doctors with those of bomb blast victims.

Lucie spent 18 months in hospital recovering from multiple traumatic injuries, and had to have her right leg amputated.
