The dark truth about UK winter when daylight is at a premium

With the shortest day a mere two and a bit weeks away, we see about as much daylight some days as your average badger.

It's no wonder people are digging out their Christmas lights in the middle of November when we are stuck with dreary, grey days for what feels like months on end.

I for one won't be waiting until Sunshine Saturday to book a week in the sun.

For the uninitiated, this is the name given to the most popular day for holiday bookings in the UK. It's usually the first Saturday after New Year's Day; however, at Wobschall Towers it's going to be sooner rather than later.
