'Secret' acts to fill in at Leeds Fest

Leeds Festival seems to have arrived very quickly this year and there is plenty of chat to be had ahead of the August Bank Holiday weekend with both Lola Young and now House of Protection bowing out, leaving a gap or two open for a last-minute inclusion. Could a long-awaited reunion announcement coax one band to perform? Or are we about to see the return of one of the UK's most beloved indie acts? Maybe one of these:

Houston-based band Khruangbin is a very strong contender. They have confirmed UK tour dates on either side of the Leeds Festival weekend, including a show in Halifax a few days after. Their presence in the North of England already makes a popup appearance a logistical no-brainer.

The Vaccines have a long history with the festival and is known for playing spontaneous, high-energy gigs. With a recent album to promote and a well-established back catalogue of hits, they would be a major crowd-pleaser.
