Permits and praise

Yorkshire Water has paid tribute to its customers following the recent introduction of a hosepipe ban across the region, and revealed the next phase of its plan which could involve the issuing of permits.

Since the hosepipe ban came into effect on July 11, domestic water usage across Yorkshire has decreased by 10 per cent. Cooler weather and rainfall over the last three weeks have also led to savings of around 35 million litres.
