A council is set to adopt new plans to help reduce homelessness and rough sleeping.

Wakefield Council said its strategy would make the problem “everyone's business” by focusing on prevention and early intervention. The authority also said the scheme aimed to “create a future where homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.”
