Morley beauty spot in line for £145,000 facelift

Popular Morley beauty spot Scarth Gardens will get £145,000 of improvements after funding was approved by the council.

Leeds City Council said a consultation was carried out on the proposals, which include new footpaths, bulb planting and a sculpture trail, as part of the Morley Town Deal project.

A city council report said work is due to start by the end of November, adding: “Enhancements to the park will create a more positive outdoor experience for local people of all ages. The scheme will aim to support the mental and physical health and well-being of residents, as well as helping to improve local air quality.”
