Britain's greatest ice dancers lace up skates for last hurrah

- by David McLean

Four decades clear of Torvill and Dean's gold-winning performance in Sarajevo, the sound of Bolero still sends shivers through the nation.

Now, the iconic pair, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, to give them their full names, are gearing up for their last ever dance together on British soil.

The ex-Olympians, now aged 67 and 66 respectively, have already completed the London, Belfast, Sheffield, Birmingham and Newcastle legs of their final tour, Our Last Dance.

They are currently slap bang in the middle of four sell out shows at Manchester's AO Arena, with performances in Liverpool and Glasgow to follow.

Last, but not least, Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, their hometown, will host four farewell performances, including their 28th and final show of the tour, this July.
