Five-star display gets Leeds Schools U-15s boys' season off to flying start

Leeds Schools FA's Under-15s boys opened their league campaign with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Hull.

Leeds started quickly, dominating possession and their pressure eventually told when Jaiden Lund pressed high to dispossess a Hull defender before slotting home to give Leeds the lead.

Leeds quickly doubled their advantage when Pierce Kennedy, up from centre back, volleyed home from a corner. Leeds continued to attack and got their third through an excellent team goal that ended with Charlie Dees finishing superbly into the bottom corner.

Dees then turned provider as he slid the ball through to Nicoy Evans who finished emphatically to make it 4-0 before the break.

Leeds continued to control the game in the second half and added a fifth after Micah Lewis carried the ball before teeing up Shayaan Mohammed to score.

Jacob Keddie and Jacob Osborn-Charles were excellent in defence for Leeds who play at Scunthorpe next week.

In the ESFA Cup, Leeds Schools Under-13s boys lost 7-1 to a strong Manchester team in their first game in the competition.
