Easts let their foot off the gas after leading 24-0 a minute into the second period, following tries from Ajay Wilson, Kieran Brining, Billy Evans and Elliot Windley, all converted by Luke Littlewood.

Miners hit back with a couple of touchdowns before Brining’s second score sealed the deal for the away team.
