National Burger Day passed me by because every day seems like burger day when I'm filming. There are smashed patties everywhere.

When it comes to burgers on a barbecue, I like cheap burgers - none of the fancy stuff, just a cheap box of 20 from the wholesaler does our family party right.

That's why I gave a £1 burger in Blackpool a solid 10 because it was value for money.

I also think that's why Smash and Dash at the Packhorse in Huddersfield sold out on their first day - people love cheap and cheerful.
