Bess is hoping Yorkshire can dent rivals' quarter-final hopes

Dom Bess said that denting Lancashire's hopes of reaching the Vitality Blast quarterfinals would be a motivation for Yorkshire at Headingley tonight, but the all-rounder admitted it would be scant consolation after another season of below-par results in the 20-over format.

Yorkshire take on their arch rivals (6.30pm start) unable to reach the knockout stages for the 13th time in 17 seasons.

They are one of four counties - Derbyshire, Durham and Glamorgan the others - who have never won the T20 tournament.
