Battling Parksiders hold firm to claim first win of season

Hunslet recorded their first win of the Championship season and their first victory in 16 attempts against Batley Bulldogs with a 28-24 triumph at the Fox's Biscuits Stadium on Friday.

Hunslet made a great start - Lee Gaskell put a kick through for Billy Jowitt to follow up and score on only two minutes and four minutes later Gaskell's cut-out pass saw Jowitt step inside and beat the Batley defence and stretch out to score.
Jowitt converted both his tries to put Hunslet 12-0 up.
