Experts say time is of great essence in vascular traumas

While addressing a press conference here today, Dr HS Bedi director cardiovascular, endovascular and vascular surgery at Park Hospital, Mohali said, “Time is of great importance in vascular trauma.
If the vascularity is not restored in the least possible time, the chances of saving the injured or damaged limb in road accidents are very low.”
He further said, “People should know the importance of the golden hour concept, which means the first 60 mix. utes after any accident are most important. If an accident victim reaches a hospital with trauma services and an expert medical team , a lot of lives can be saved.”
