MSP wants residents to submit energy readings

Motherwell and Wishaw MSP Clare Adamson is urging constituents to submit an up-to-date energy meter reading to their supplier as soon as possible.

The UK energy regulator Ofgem confirmed that the energy price cap will rise slightly from January 1, meaning many households on default or variable tariffs will see a small increase in their energy costs.

Submitting a meter reading now can help households avoid being charged the new higher rate for energy used before the price cap change comes into effect.
