Less than a week after completing the London Marathon in a personal best time a Wishaw man took on a gruelling 24-hour running challenge, clocking up almost another 100 miles.
James Paterson has been running the marathons in England's capital each year since 2009, raising vital funds for the Children First charity.
The 49-year-old completed this year's run on Sunday, April 27 in 3hours 29mins but not content with that he decided to take on the 24-hour tough of the track at Ravenscraig six days later on Saturday, May 3, finishing Sunday at 3pm.
The businessman who owns Paterson's Trophy Supplies in the town’s Garrion Business Park, was joined by countless people who offered support as he added around 96 miles - the equivalent of more than three-and-a-half marathons - to his exertions the previous week in England.
