The Netherexe Tractor Jamboree and Country Fair will be held for the first time this weekend

- ATHWENNA IRONS

A NEW event which aims to showcase agricultural engineering through the ages will make its debut this weekend.

Vistors to the Netherexe Tractor Jamboree and Country Fair, taking place on the outskirts of Exeter, will get the chance to travel back in time and explore the story of tractor manufacturing from pre-World War II to today’s high-tech machines.

Almost 50 vintage and modern day tractors dating from 1918 to 2025 will be on display, alongside many other attractions, to celebrate the heritage and skills of the rivers Exe, Culm and Creedy communities.

Organised by the NetherExe Mission Community to raise funds for the nine churches in the NetherExe parish and the Farming Community Network (FCN), the family event will be held on Saturday, August 9 at Exe Valley Farm Shop near Thorverton, by kind permission of Helen and Ross May.
