AN Abba-themed silent disco is taking place in Torquay 50 years after the Swedish pop super-group took to the stage at Abbey Meadows.

Torbay Communities is promising a night of musical nostalgia at the outdoor event next month.
Hot on the heels of their 1974 Eurovision Song Contest victory in Brighton, Abba came to Torquay on Saturday, August 16, 1975 as part of a BBC Seaside special, with the concert broadcast to fans across the country.
