Caldwell wary of 'wounded' Northampton

EXETER City manager Gary Caldwell has warned his players to be on their guard as the Grecians head to Northampton Town in League One today with the Cobblers still searching for their first win of the season.

While City were winning 1-0 at Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday, Northampton lost 1-0 at home to Lincoln City, which was their third defeat in four league games so far.

But Kevin Nolan’s side are much better than recent suggests show, according to Caldwell, who wants to see more from his team as well, despite the win at Adams Park.

“A team that hasn’t won yet will always be a dangerous team because they want to get that first win on the board,” he said. “Their performances have been better than the results and Tuesday night would be a good case for that because they played well in the game and dominated the second half, but just couldn't score.
