Working parents need more support

Western Mail

April 28, 2025

IT IS an individual or couple's choice to have children, but children represent all of our futures, whether or not we decide to have them.

Our children are the next generation of healthcare staff, teachers, street cleaners, transport workers, police, and others who will help keep everyone healthy and safe.

They are the future writers, musicians and artists who will entertain us.

We will all need the work and help of those coming up behind us.

It should worry us all, parents or not, that childcare costs are so high and that in Wales childcare now costs more than it does across the border in England and Scotland.
