TV presenter awarded with OBE after sharing domestic abuse story

WELSH TV presenter Ruth Dodsworth has been awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by King Charles III during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.

She was awarded the title for her services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
Ruth, 50, has spoken out about her own coercive control at the hands of ex-husband Jonathan Wignall, who was jailed in 2021.
The TV presenter has shared her story in the hopes it can help others, saying it came with a "responsibility".
She has spoken out about the topic of domestic abuse to raise awareness, and in 2022 she presented the ITV factual documentary Controlled By My Partner? The Hidden Abuse.
Earlier this year, Ruth started her blog @ruthisasurivor on Instagram to further share her story.
