Teenage girls plead guilty to blackmail and assault charges

TWO TEENAGE girls have pleaded guilty to assaults at a school and college, blackmail and an assault at a railway station.

- ABBIE WIGHTWICK

The 13 and 14-year-olds both pleaded guilty to one allegation of blackmail, two allegations of actual bodily harm and two allegations of assault at a hearing at Cardiff Youth Court this week.

One of their victims was kicked in the head and suffered concussion, the court was told. The incidents all took place in March this year.

In one of the attacks a victim was told they would be beaten up unless they kissed the girls' feet. The girls then told the victim to pay cash, or a video of the incident, taken on a phone, would be shown, the court heard.

Another victim was left with a bloodied nose and was pushed to the floor.
