Plans revealed for £8m hotel redevelopment

AN £8M investment is set to be made by the new proprietor of an iconic Anglesey hotel.

Property developer Tom Edgar has revealed plans to reimagine Hotel Cymyran near Llanfair y Neubwll into a versatile activity hub with additional lodging.The flagship proposal involves establishing a spa and wellness centre featuring a “wild” outdoor swimming pool. The intention is to maintain water purity through UV light treatment and reed-bed filtration systems to achieve pristine, crystal-clear water.
The plans also include a food hall and artisan marketplace to be built where the current horse stables stand.
Subject to Anglesey council approval, the development will additionally offer event studios. A “living hub” will also be established to champion the local community, culture and natural environment, according to planning documents.
