Owner’s cancer prompts manor to cancel wedding bookings

A STUNNING Welsh manor house has announced it will be cancelling all weddings from January 2026 as one of its owners battles cancer.
Gileston Manor house is a Georgian Grade II listed building located in Barry, with eight suites for up to 18 guests, with well-kept lawns and a ballroom. In recent years, the beautiful venue has been compared to some of the royal residences pictured in shows such as Bridgerton. Owners Josh and his wife Lorraine said the decision to cancel all weddings from 2026 onwards was made because of Josh's health deteriorating, leaving Lorraine to operate the business alone
