Key duo missing as County face a huge challenge against Gills

NEWPORT County will be without Liam Shephard and Matt Smith as they aim to upset the odds against unbeaten Gillingham today.

Gareth Ainsworth's Gills arrive at Rodney Parade looking to extend a 20-game unbeaten run in the league, while County have gone 10 games without a win at home.
The Exiles ended a six-match losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers last weekend and will be aiming to build on that result, but they will have to do so without former Swansea City man Shephard (hamstring) and Wales international Smith (back).
"Liam has had a setback, and we're really disappointed for him," said County manager David Hughes.
"He was gutted. He's an outstanding professional, but he had a little setback on Tuesday.
"He's someone who we value really highly and we'll offer him our support in the next couple of weeks as he looks to come back.
