A WOMAN has been reunited with her handbag containing £500 in Christmas present money after she actually put it out with her recycling.
> Tracy Williams was reunited with her handbag - and the £500 inside
(RHONDDA CYNON TAF COUNCIL)
Tracy Williams, from Treorchy, Rhondda, said her “heart stopped” when she realised her handbag and the cash inside had been mixed up with 10 clear bags filled with Christmas packaging and wrapping paper she had put out for Rhondda Cynon Taf council’s recycling crews to collect.
By the time Tracy realised her bag was missing, she ran outside to see crews had already collected the waste.
But thanks to a mammoth effort from a recycling crew who spent three hours searching at Bryn Pica Recycling Centre a “miracle” struck and they managed to find it.
