Hughes hopes to break home hoodoo in FA Cup

NEWPORT County manager David Hughes hopes the "magical" FA Cup can finally end his side's home hoodoo when they host League Two rivals Gillingham this afternoon.

County are on a run of three successive victories on the road, but they haven't won at Rodney Parade since March 15 and Hughes is desperate to get that monkey off his back and secure a place in the second round.
"It will change, we will win at home," said the Exiles boss. "There's no concern.
"The win will come on the back of a level of performance. We've been successful in the last three games away from home because we've performed well, not because of luck.
"It's been down to some really good individual and collective performances and we'll aim to deliver exactly the same on Saturday."
