LAMORGAN suffered defeat in the Women’s One-Day Cup League Two final.

GLAMORGAN enter the final weeks of their bid for promotion to the top flight of county cricket buoyed by the news one of their brightest stars has pledged his long-term future to the club.

Glamorgan head to Derbyshire today for their penultimate match in division two of the Rothesay County Championship. And they travel boosted by Ben Kellaway’s decision to sign a new three-year deal to stay at Sophia Gardens.

Kellaway has become a key figure for Glamorgan this year and is set to figure in today’s crucial clash.

The 21-year-old has scored 813 runs in the Championship and boasts an average of 54.20. He has struck two hundreds and four half-centuries along the way.

Meanwhile, he has taken 25 Championship wickets, featuring two five-wicket hauls.

Kellaway told the Glamorgan website: “I’m extremely excited to be continuing my journey here at Glamorgan for the next three years.
